Charging Battery Drapes

Typical Battery Life

This is influenced by many factors: weight, size of drape and how many times it’s operated. Unfortunately, it’s very hard to tell how many times a guest opens and closes the drapes per day, so our recommendation is to charge the battery for 4 hours at a time, each quarter, or when battery light turns red.

The Connector

These motors have the battery attached to the bottom of the motor (see arrow). Each unit includes a charging cord (looks like a laptop charger) that connects to the battery and standard outlet when charging is needed.

Light on Motor

To avoid an accidental reprogramming of drive, please do not touch this light/button. Light indicator on button will turn red when battery needs charging and it will flash red 3 times when battery is running low.

Charger Light

Plug the charger into the bottom of the battery and the LED indicator will light up as follows:

• Solid Red = Charging

• Solid Green = Charging is complete

When charging is complete, disconnect and store your charger to use at a later time.
