Quick Disconnect

Check out our newest feature that makes it easier to change your roller shades from Plug and Play to hardwired or vice versa, no electrician required!

Pigtail

All our powered motors come with a pigtail which connects to a whip via a twisting disconnect. This connection joins the motor to its source of power, and is a 19” cord permanently affixed to one end of the motor.

Whips

Each whip connects to the pigtail, which plugs the motor to its source of power. The kind of whip used depends on the system that was specified—plug & play or hardwired. This quick disconnect allows anyone the opportunity to remove the motor from its power source.

Length of Whip

Each project has different needs, that’s why we offer various options. Whips vary in length in order to accommodate the specific distance from end of motor to source of power. The whips are prefixed and available in 36”, 72” and 120” lengths.

Why Is This Good News?

The Pigtail can connect to either a plug & play whip or a hardwired whip, interchangeably. Once the shades are produced/installed, changing from hardwired to plug & play is as easy as changing the whip. No need for an electrician or replacements if onsite changes occur.

Battery Motors

These motors work differently drawing their power from a low voltage battery, which means their pigtail is smaller and only connects to their charging cable. They operate similar to a cell phone or a laptop charger.
